Dr. Jenny Frances, MD

Dr. Jenny Frances, MD

I am a PEDIATRIC orthopedic surgeon in New York City, that also sees ADULTS for general orthopedic problems. I focus most of our work on the treatment plan and followup to optimize results. I take care of all types of orthopedic problems in children. These include scoliosis, hip dysplasia, pediatric fractures, sports injuries, perthes, slipped capital femoral epiphysis, benign bone and muscle tumors, clubfoot, leg length differences and limb deformities, both acquired and congenital. I believe in really listening to the child who is my patient, not only in order to make the correct diagnosis, but more importantly to understand better the child’s personality and what needs to be understood for the individualized treatment recommendation to be effective. When you book an appointment on zocdoc I recommend that you are as specific as you can with the reason for the visit, and give details with regard to length of time of complaint, site and laterality, and if radiographs have been done already. As an orthopedist – most of our patients needs radiographs, which can make the visit take longer than you would expect. If you have had radiographs done previously and are able to bring those images (not just the report) please let us know when you are making the appointment. If not, we will likely send you for radiographs just before the visit or after the exam, depending on complaint, but definantly prior to giving treatment recommendations. Looking forward to meeting you and being of service.
